Alliance Security

Alliance Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: Alliance is always open; 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Dispatch and Supervisory Staff are on duty at all times.

Q: What is “Patrol Car Service?”
A: A “Patrol Car Service” is a check of your property by an armed patrol supervisor in a marked, radio-equipped cruiser. These checks are done at random intervals, as specified by the client. The supervisor checks doors, windows, and the property exterior as a whole. Patrol slips stating the time of the check and any findings are left at a predetermined location, or can be mailed or faxed to the property manager.

Q: What is “Guard Response?”
A: A “Guard Response” occurs when an armed patrol supervisor responds to an alarm, dispatched either from Alliance’s Central Station or a client’s preferred central station.

Q: Can I have a security officer with a marked car at my location?
A: Yes. Alliance will customize its services to fit your needs.

Q: Are all of your supervisors armed?
A: Yes. All patrol supervisors are required to be armed. Patrol supervisors (and all armed guards) undergo intense training and firearms qualification. Alliance mandates yearly training and re-qualification with our company Armorer.

Q: What types of uniforms do you have?
A: - Alliance’s standard uniform is dark blue, police style pants and shirts.
- Our supervisory staff is uniformed with the standard dark blue pants and French blue police style shirts.
- Our BFSU (Boston Field Services Unit) is uniformed with red-striped pants in accordance
to BPD (Boston Police Department) Rule 400.
- Our GSA (Government) officers are uniformed with dark blue pants and white shirts.
- We can customize uniforms to fit the needs of any client. Some typical alternatives are a blazer-style uniform,
different colored shirts, or plain clothes officers.

Q: Is there a manager on duty at all times?
A: Yes. Because we are a 24x7 operation, we have a Dispatcher/Supervisor on at all times.

Q: What happens if a security officer calls out sick at the last minute?
A: Alliance has several supervisors on duty at all times. In the event that the scheduled officer called out, one of the supervisors would be sent to replace the officer at the location until a replacement can relieve them, thus avoiding non-coverage.

Q: Will my billing rate change if you have to fill a shift at overtime?
A: No. It is Alliance’s obligation to meet the contractual requirements at the set billing rate.

Q: What happens if I need additional coverage?
A: Alliance will endeavor to fill all your security needs, however, if you need short term coverage, or must increase your coverage with short notice, a TAS (Temporary Additional Service) rate may apply.

Q: What forms of payments do you accept?
A: Alliance now accepts all major credit cards to go along with our traditional payment methods. Please contact us to work out a payment method that is most convenient for you.
